She was a cupid! She could make her own destiny! And her destiny was currently filled with delicious goodies and not thinking about work at all.
Carla, passionate wielder of a Cupid's arrows, dreams of more than just slinging Sparks of Interest for potential relationships--she wants the big job, to be the catalyst of True Love matches. Trouble is, her matches have been a little less than accurate. When sexy succubus Leeta walks into her office, she sees an opportunity to create a True Love match, and maybe open up the hearts and minds of her prejudiced coworkers. But what if Leeta's match is closer to home than she expects?
Making Love is a quickly-paced romance with really wonderful, unique worldbuilding. I loved reading about Cupid culture and their life's work, something fresh and new. How awesome to read about fae characters that aren't just ethereal pale beings with hetero tendencies--Wayne's fae are diverse in culture, appearance, and even sexuality. Pansexuality and demisexuality are represented here, and the attitude of Carla's coworkers echoes the prejudices and infighting in the real LGBTQ community. However, Carla manifests a happy ending for not just herself, but everyone the Cupids serve. It's a sweet, fun, seasonal read, and I loved it and want to read more from Aidan Wayne.
