What I'm Reading: A Study in Excess

Hey y'all.

You hanging in there?

I'm not. That's why I'm spending too much on books. But, that means more reviews and other content so let my despair add to your TBR list!

I'm working through the Mangoverse series by Shira Glassman and I'm up to the third, A Harvest of Ripe Figs. I've really been enjoying this cozy little mystery/adventure series, steeped in Jewish lore and culture.

I got approved for a NetGalley copy of Dreadnought! Was super excited and not disappointed, with this very real, very raw story of a trans girl teenager becoming a superhero. I'm halfway through and hope the epilogue is Danny picking her dad up and dropping him off Superhero Tower over and over, ktnx.

Life Within Parole just showed up on my Kindle App! I haven't read the new edition of Chameleon Moon, but it's on the list, and I'm excited to revisit the world of plant ladies, Radio Angels, and an ever-burning city.

Last week I read the Sugar Baby series by Rebekah Weatherspoon and adored their wonderful energy and hot romance. I can't wait to see her take on an ambitious femme and secretive, shy butch falling in love.

Also for Netgalley, I'm wrapping up the gorgeous The Bone Witch. I've been swapping around a lot, but this tale of a girl who raises the dead and a secretive world of women using art and politics to their advantage is amazingly intriguing.
